Real stories

After two years of enduring the heartbreak of three miscarriages, I needed to wake up. I needed to hit reset—to feel life rushing through my veins again, not just pain. So my husband and I made a deliberate choice: we would do whatever it took to send me on this journey to Iceland to experience cūra with Rivkah. And it was, without question, the trip of a lifetime.
But let me tell you—Rivkah could have taken us all to a Piggly Wiggly, and we still would have walked away feeling on top of the world! The woman behind this experience radiates an untamed, unapologetic artistic freedom—so potent, so electric, that it has the power to jolt anyone back to life.
Stepping away from the routine, from the expectations, and simply being—without having to prove, perform, or justify—was everything I never knew I needed. This wasn’t just a getaway; it was a homecoming to myself.

Choosing the cūra experience was the most profound gift I’ve given myself in years. This journey was nothing short of magical—thoughtfully curated, deeply enriching, and effortlessly transformative. Best of all, I didn’t have to worry about a single detail; every element was seamlessly taken care of, allowing me to fully surrender to the experience and be present in every breathtaking moment.
But the magic of Iceland was only part of the story. Yes, we captured stunning photos, bathed in the raw beauty of the land, and allowed ourselves the space to feel and heal. Yes, the aurora danced above us, more mesmerizing than I ever imagined. Yes, I felt a connection to the earth deeper than ever before. But beyond all of that, something even greater happened—strangers became sisters. In the wild vastness of Iceland, we found each other. We created bonds, held space for one another, and walked away with friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
This was more than an adventure—it was a return to self. A rekindling of spirit. A reminder of who we are beneath the exhaustion, the overwhelm, the doubt. Every one of us came home with hearts that were stitching back together, feeling more whole, more alive, more ourselves than we had in a long time.
I wish this experience for every woman who has ever felt drained, lost, or in need of something she can’t quite name. cūra is that something. And for it, I am forever grateful.

cūra is an adventure into the unknown—with the unknown. It encourages you to be brave, test your limits, shed others' expectations, and bare yourself. It rewards you with authentic beauty, both in the miraculous sights you see and the beautiful souls you behold—and that hold you. Laughter, tears, enchantment, wonder, fear, courage—all are things you’ll experience.
Iceland itself is wild, unruly, and beats to its own drum, urging you to do the same. In the end, you rediscover connection—to the world, to others, and, most importantly, to yourself. It is truly a healing experience for souls in need.
Thank you, Rivkah and team, for curating this journey with love, compassion, and excitement, allowing me to discover and appreciate all that the world—and I—have to offer.

I didn’t plan on going to Iceland pregnant, but honestly, it was one of the best ways to begin my journey into motherhood.
You see, I originally went to Experience cūra in support of Rivkah. She had been manifesting the idea of taking women to Iceland for years, and I wanted her to know the strength I saw in her determination and resilience—to witness and bolster her as she brought this dream to life.
And wow… I saw her vision unfold before me—not just as a reality, but as an inspiration for others. She led these women into breathtaking moments, gently holding hands with the land and allowing Our Mother to reach into our hearts—whispering beauty, majesty, and wholeness through Her landscapes, sunsets, and contrasts.
We were pushed physically and mentally, yet filled emotionally and spiritually. And honestly, isn’t that motherhood? To be pushed to the edge of yourself, challenged, and yet somehow divinely fulfilled? Isn’t that life—or at least one of its recurring themes?
I have always loved this motto from Life magazine:
“To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, to draw closer, to find each other and to feel. That is the purpose of life.”
I felt—and still feel—this adventure in my bones. Not because I was daring or simply overwhelmed by the grandeur of it all (though that happened too), but because of the deep connections I formed with the five incredible women who accompanied me.
Four of them were mothers, each showing me the vast and wondrous ways motherhood can take shape. Together, we stood on cliffs, beaches, and beneath waterfalls. We held ice and fire, screamed into caverns with joy, howled at the moon, were pelted by ice rain, felt the wind rip through our ribs on frigid nights, and danced in sun-kissed fields.
And through it all, we stood beside each other—witnessing life return to our eyes.
At 11 weeks pregnant, I was petrified of losing myself in caring for another being. But these women showed me that motherhood isn’t about sacrificing yourself entirely. I will not lose the woman I have spent 35 years becoming—she will always be me. And yet, in every moment of this journey, I saw these women be wholly themselves and the mothers they had grown into. They embraced motherhood without losing their own essence.
For me, Iceland’s beauty will never just be about the land itself—it will be the harmony of souls, nature, and breath intertwining.
Go to Iceland with majesty in mind, but know this: you will discover more within yourself than in the vastness that surrounds you.
